Some of the Imaging diagnosis techniques used at Vithas Xanit are:
Radiographic tests use the X-rays. These rays penetrate in part of the body and provide information on some of the organs included in the area. Apart from the standard X-rays, other specific radiographic tests are available such as angiograms, mammograms, urographies, bone densitometry tests or myelograms, for example.
2- CT scan or tomodensitometry
This scan also uses X-rays though the technique shows body images that are divided into “slices”.
It principally allows the study of cranial, thorax, abdominal and skeletal areas in general.
Infections, hemorrhages, cysts, tumors or lymph nodes can be diagnosed; the localization of a specific organ can be very precisely determined and compared to that of another; a blood vessel trajectory can also be evaluated…

Echography tests use ultrasounds to explore body parts. Such ultrasounds are applied to determined body areas to explore their corresponding internal tissues.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging provides a very precise analysis of organs and the visualization of details that do not show with standard x-rays, ultrasounds or scans.
The MRI technique can be used for all body areas: cranial (to show lesions, tumors, blood vessel dysfunctions, etc…), backbone (for disc hernias), joints or ligaments lesions…
5- Nuclear medicine
Nuclear medicine is also called scintigraphy. It is an image diagnosing test where a gamma radiation substance attached to the bones is captured to show part of the body.
A scintigraphy or bone scan allows assessing on skeletal activity.
It is used to diagnose bone metastasis, among other pathologies.
An intravenous isotope marker is injected into the patient tissues before the test. Depending on the type of test performed, the further x-rays projection can be performed from one to four hours after the isotope injection. Time interval will mainly depend on the product capture patterns of the bones.
